Graypants is a design studio and lighting maker with studios in Seattle and Amsterdam. It produces pendant, table, portable and linear lamps, along with architecture and other objects. The Scraplight series is handcrafted from recycled cardboard, mostly post-consumer waste, cut with lasers, assembled with non-toxic adhesive and treated with a fire retardant.
Alongside its main collections, Graypants designs custom lighting and large light installations for businesses. In the Netherlands it works with a social enterprise that provides craft-based jobs for people facing barriers to employment. On Formground it is shown through 76 pieces, each linked to its own page.
