Privacy Policy

Last updated 6 October 2026.

Formground doesn't have accounts, logins, or profiles — there's very little of yours to collect in the first place. This page lays out plainly what little we do collect, why, and who else sees it.

Who we are

Formground is operated by Formground AB, Sweden, which is responsible for the personal data described on this page. You can reach us at info@formground.com.

What we collect

Searches and clicks. When you search, we log the search text itself, and if you click through to a maker's or architect's own site, we log which one and what query led there. This is stored with a timestamp, not with anything that identifies you personally — no name, no email, no account, no cookie tying it back to you specifically. It's used in aggregate, to understand what people are generally looking for and which makers are being found.

Pages and where you came from. We also log which Formground pages are viewed (for example a maker's page or a category page), which makers appeared in search results or on a page, which page a visit started on, and the website or ad campaign that sent you here. To connect a click to the page where your visit began, and to see whether a search was reworded and which pages follow which, your browser holds that starting page, any ad-campaign tag and a random visit number in its tab-only session storage until you close the tab. It is not a cookie. The visit number is made up on the spot, is not linked to your name, device or any other visit, and disappears when the tab closes, so it groups the pages of one visit and nothing more. The starting page and campaign tag are the same for everyone who arrives the same way, so they describe the route, not you. Searches made through our machine-readable interface for AI agents are logged the same way. Nothing is logged from known search-engine crawlers.

Our own visits. Formground's team can switch off the logging described above for their own browsers, using a marker stored only in that browser, so test visits don't distort the numbers. Visitors don't need it and it is never set for you.

Your feedback on results. Under search results we ask "How were these results?" with three answers. If you tap one, we store your answer with that search's random number, so we can see which kinds of search work and which don't. It is anonymous: there is no name, email or account behind it, and answering is optional.

Basic site analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless by design — it doesn't set a tracking cookie or build a profile of you across visits. It gives us aggregate numbers (roughly how many people visited, what pages, what device/browser type) without identifying individual visitors.

The contact form. If you use our contact form, we collect whatever you enter — your name, email, and message, plus optional fields like your brand, website, or social profile if you fill them in. This is submitted through Web3Forms, a third-party form-processing service, which delivers it to our inbox. We use it only to reply to you.

What we don't collect

Who else sees it

A few third-party services process data on our behalf, each for one specific job: Cloudflare (site hosting and the cookieless analytics above), Google Cloud / BigQuery (where anonymous search and click events are stored), and Web3Forms (processes contact form submissions and delivers them to us). None of them are authorized to use this data for their own purposes beyond providing that service to us.

How long we keep it

Search and click data is kept in aggregate for as long as it's useful for understanding overall site activity — it isn't tied to you individually, so there's no personal record to delete on that side. Contact form messages are kept as long as needed to handle your request, and are deleted on request.

Your rights

If you've contacted us and want to know what we have on file, or want it deleted, get in touch and we'll sort it out directly — there's no dashboard or self-service tool for this, but it's a simple email away: info@formground.com. You also have the right to complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

Children

Formground isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If this page changes in any meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top. Since Formground doesn't collect emails to notify you with, checking back here is the way to stay current.
