David Pompa is a lighting studio in Mexico City, founded by the designer David Pompa Spikker, who studied product design at Kingston University in London. It makes pendant, table and wall lamps in black clay, volcanic stone, handwoven palm and hand-blown recycled glass, among them Can, Ambra, Origo, Amelia, Caleta and the Meta collection.
Components are made by craftspeople in different parts of Mexico, and the lamps are assembled and shipped from the workshop in the Roma Norte neighbourhood. On Formground it is shown through 38 pieces, each linked to its own page.
