Le Klint is a Danish lighting maker whose story begins around 1900, when the architect and engineer Peder Vilhelm Jensen-Klint folded a paper shade for a petroleum lamp, inspired by Japanese origami. His cross-pleating technique gave the shade a collar at 90 degrees to the straight pleats.
Folding paper into shades became a Klint family pastime, drawing in his sons Tage and Kaare, and grew into the company. Jensen-Klint is also known for Grundtvig's Church in Copenhagen. On Formground it is shown through 134 pieces, each linked to its own page.
