Will Choui is a Montreal-based furniture designer whose work draws on raw materials, platonic solids and the rugged presence of brutalist architecture. All pieces are designed and manufactured in Canada.
The 1980 collection takes the structured look of 1980s corporate interiors, with smoked glass diffusers and geometric grids. The WCL lounge chair began as a single 8-foot length of 2x4 lumber and is now made in hand-polished tubular stainless steel as an editioned work. Other pieces include the Alu side table and the Squarehead mirror. On Formground their work is shown through 8 pieces, each linked to its own page.
