Hella Jongerius

Hella Jongerius is a Dutch industrial designer who studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven. She founded Jongeriuslab in Rotterdam in 1993 and moved the studio to Berlin in 2008. Her work is an open-ended research into colours, materials and textures, in which finished and semi-finished products are part of a never-ending process.

She pays attention to imperfections, traces of how a piece was made and the potential of materials and techniques. On Formground she is credited on 79 pieces shown through Galerie Kreo, among them vases, coffee tables, lounge chairs, plates and bottles. The studio's site lists projects, exhibitions and publications.
