Luke Hope is a designer and maker of wooden objects. He studied design, spent about twenty years doing other work, and returned to designing and making around ten years ago, drawn to the slow, meditative process of shaping forms from a single piece of wood.
He works between studios in London and Central Vietnam and makes functional objects and sculptural work, with a mix of traditional handwork, CNC milling and hand finishing. On Formground he is shown through 109 pieces, each linked to its own page.
