20by8, also written Twentybyeight, is a small workshop run by Sergei Grigorev, a designer based in Cyprus who worked for many years as an interior designer. He makes chairs, mostly, by hand in small batches, with a focus on high-end craftsmanship, distinctive design and premium materials.
He takes responsibility for the whole process, from the first sketch to the last stitch, and finds the balance between design and craft the most interesting part. On Formground the workshop is shown through 5 pieces, among them the Fourth chair, the Eero chair and the Stauros armchair; prices are given on request through an inquiry form.
